Attacks on employees
The enforcement of Covid-19-related rules has led to a sustained high potential for conflict for customer-facing employees. As in 2020, Covid-19-related situations have resulted in a shift in focus and necessitated an adaptation of safety concepts. Despite the increased potential for conflict, the number of employees who were attacked in 2021 was 2,582, only slightly higher than in the previous year. Just under 10% of cases were related to the enforcement of social distancing and hygiene rules. The most frequently affected professions are the train attendants (slightly more than half of cases), and security and law enforcement (40% of cases).
