Environmental measures

In February 2018, the first carbon-neutral ICE maintenance facility  no. 48 was opened in Nippes, Cologne/Germany and officially commenced operation in June 2018. The facility is run completely carbon-neutral with heat from geothermal sources No. 91 and electricity generated from solar energy No. 30, which saves 1,000 t CO₂ every year.
