A new construction principle for a greater proximity to the business

Customer orientation

We are consistently aligning DB Group to our customers’ needs and making quality a CEO priority. That is why we have made quality the direct responsibility of the CEO and the responsible Management Board members for all of the business units for the first time.

Decentralization

We want to strengthen local responsibility going forward. The changes already implemented and still planned in DB Group support this in line with two guiding principles: divisionality and entrepreneurship. In this way, we are enabling doers to become decision makers.

Streamlining

We have streamlined the Management Board, reduced intermediate management levels and downsized the first management level. This allows us to assign responsibilities more clearly and simplify structures, work processes and decision-making channels. We will also significantly scale back centralized tasks and functions across the Group.

Implementation

The implementation of the first changes to the Group structure are just the beginning. We are inititating three immediate action programs at the start of 2026 to ensure that our customers also feel some improvements quickly. At the same time, we are systematically pressing ahead with the modernization of our infrastructure.
