Metrics

The number of violent attacks on employees (including attempted attacks) in 2025 was roughly on a par with the previous year at 3,264 cases (previous year: 3,324 cases). The most frequently affected professions are train attendants at about 70 % (previous year: about 64 %) and security and law enforcement service employees at about 25 % (previous year: about 30 %). Positive effects can be seen among the security personnel thanks to protective measures such as bodycams and staff allocation. These measures will therefore also be increasingly used in the train attendant service. Violence against train crew mostly occurs in connection with non-existent or invalid tickets or when enforcing the terms of transport. Experience to date with bodycams at DB Regional shows that employees with bodycams are hardly ever attacked.
