Socially responsible restructuring
DB Group is undergoing an extensive modernization and transformation process with the aim of becoming leaner, faster and more customer-oriented and ensuring its competitiveness. Against this backdrop, we are also reducing our personnel requirements. The focus is on the areas of administration and overhead costs. Voluntary staff turnover instruments such as part-time work leading up to retirement and severance packages are in place to ensure that restructuring is carried out in a sound and socially responsible manner. Natural turnover, especially due to retirements, and the Group-wide labor market are also effective channels. To this end, DB Group also offers internal reorientation, for example through the “Job Restart” support program, and further training. The majority of employees have job security.
