- Spring cleaning campaign: In the spring of 2025, DB InfraGO launched a nationwide cleaning campaign to further improve the appearance of its stations and the quality of stay. As part of this “spring cleaning” initiative, more than 100 “stations of the future” and about 600 other stations were thoroughly cleaned. Several hundred employees were deployed over a period of about ten weeks, cleaning, among other things, platforms, stairways, tunnels, lift shafts, glass surfaces, as well as control panels on ticket machines and lifts, furniture and display cases. In addition, graffiti and chewing gum were removed. About € 5 million was spent on the “spring cleaning” initiative in 2025. In this way, DB InfraGO is sending a clear message about customer focus, quality and responsibility in public spaces. An expansion of the cleaning initiative is planned for 2026.
- Retail offerings at the station: With about 160 new store openings and 190 renovations in our leased spaces in 2025, we are helping to create an attractive and diverse selection of options for our customers. Through a growing number of pop-up stores, we are continuously testing innovative concepts for passengers’ needs in collaboration with a rotating group of partners. In addition, we are increasingly combining seating areas designed for relaxation with attractive food and beverage options. In addition, the offerings of about 200 ServiceStore DB locations will be gradually restructured starting in spring 2025: the ServiceStore DB brand will be phased out, with the stores continuing to operate under the brands of their respective operators in the future.
