Policies (G1-1)

DB Group has Group-wide policies governing its corporate culture, good management and cooperation as well as the implementation of the Strong Rail strategy. They form the framework of standards for value-oriented action and an integrated leadership culture within DB Group.

The Group guideline on organization regulates fundamental responsibilities for the implementation of policies on a Group-wide basis. The aim is to clearly assign responsibilities. The intra-Group auditors and the Compliance function perform auditing and monitoring tasks to ensure compliance with the regulations.

The following Group principles and guidelines generally apply to DB Group as a whole. Accordingly, almost all DB Group employees are included. The Management Board is primarily responsible for implementing the policies. The Group works council was involved in the preparation of the mentioned Group guidelines and Group principles.

The regulations are accessible to all employees via the Group regulations database. In addition, extensive communication materials, particularly regarding the Group principles on strong teamwork, are available on DB Group’s intranet.

  • Group principles on strategy: These Group principles describe the regulatory framework for implementing the Strong Rail strategy, the inner ambition and aspects relating to the corporate culture.
  • Group principles on strong teamwork: These Group principles describe the compass for strong teamwork as a mission statement for the desired corporate culture, good leadership and good cooperation. They form the basis for the design of structures, processes and instruments within DB Group.
  • Group guideline on HR management: This Group guideline establishes common, Group-wide principles for HR management while also describing the uniform standards and core processes along the HR topic areas.
