Culture barometer

The culture barometer was conducted for the third time in September 2025. More than 13,000 employees took part, corresponding to about 42 % of those invited in the sample.

The compass index is measured annually as part of the employee survey and the culture barometer. It measures the implementation of the principles of DB Group’s “compass for strong teamwork” and declined to 46 % in 2025 (2024: 52 %). Employee satisfaction fell by 0.1 index points to 3.6. Employees were also less optimistic about the future. Only 31 % agreed that they are optimistic about the future of DB Group. The results of the DB culture barometer illustrate the need for a fresh start and will be incorporated into DB Group’s “restart” and the associated measures.
