Number and structure of employees (DB AG)
To ensure better comparability over time, the number of DB AG employees is converted into full-time equivalents (FTE) in line with the procedure used at DB Group. Figures for part-time employees are measured in accordance with their share of the regular annual working time. Since 2025, interns and working students are no longer included in the employee numbers. The figures for 2024 and as of December 31, 2024, have not been adjusted.

Since 2025, interns and working students are reported under young talents rather than under employees as previously. The number of interns as of December 31, 2025, was 13 FTE (as of December 31, 2024: 10 FTE). The number of working students as of December 31, 2025, was 10 FTE (as of December 31, 2024: 12 FTE).
As of December 31, 2025, the number of employees at DB AG has fallen significantly. At 9,479 employees, the annual average was also below the previous year’s level (previous year: 9,888 employees), albeit to a lesser extent due to the gradual implementation of measures over the course of the year. The decline in the number of employees was primarily due to the intra-Group transfer of employees in connection with the reorganization of DB Real Estate as well as significantly reduced recruitment activities in connection with the restructuring measures implemented.
