To achieve our climate protection target, we are constantly increasing the share of renewable energies in the DB traction current mix in our core business in Germany. We succeeded in increasing this share further in 2025.

The data from previous years corresponds to the status of statutory electricity labeling in accordance with the Energy Industry Act (Energiewirtschaftsgesetz; EnWG) and may therefore differ from the provisional figure from the previous year’s reports. The specific shares of non-renewable energies in the DB traction current mix cannot be forecast in detail due to the changing electricity market, which is why only the share of renewable energies will be shown in future. The latest presentation of the DB traction current mix in accordance with the statutory electricity labeling can be viewed on DB Energy’s website. Electricity labeling is certified by an external auditing company and is presented in accordance with the legal requirements.
